Courses & Consultation

Consultation: Are you a budding precision teacher or parent looking to employ these techniques with your learners?  Need some direction and feedback to strengthen and sharpen your skills?  Need assessments and curricula to aid in your practice?  Check out our available packages to help you get started or enhance your precision teaching experience!

Courses: These courses are created for particular audiences.  Please attend to the labels of each course to see if it is suited for you.  For practitioners who are seeking courses to fulfill CEU requirements, additional "homework" will be required to receive your certificate.  Please attend to the homework specifics at the end of each course to ensure your certificate distribution.

You must create a free profile on www.versal.com to access these courses.  When you purchase a course, be sure to enter the same email address that is affiliated with your Versal account.  You can access the course two ways: a link in the digital download file or an email invitation from Versal to join the course.  However, your link will not be activated until you receive the email invitation. This may take a few hours. You have 1 month to complete the course after receiving the email invitation.  Please email us if you need an extension.

Scope & Sequence

50.00

Abstract:

One cannot simply understand curricula without having a firm grasp on the purpose of the curricula (i.e., scope) and how to progress through various stages of the curricula (i.e., sequence) to obtain such a goal.  This webinar can be considered the “Curriculum Webinar Part 2” in our web-class series.  It goes beyond the simple, single free-operant program to explain how to create and think in terms of curriculum lines.  Creating your own precision teaching curriculum requires heightened level of organization and a keen understanding of component and composite skills (and their hierarchy).  When establishing a curriculum line (and documenting a scope and sequence), the individuality of the learner must be considered as well as the learning channels of each pinpoint and the slice level within various programs. Establishing an organizational system is advantageous to help direct front-lined staff on making curriculum decisions.  Further, it helps map out potential sequences for similar learners.  The current webclass places emphasis on the concept of component/composite skills and provides ample opportunities for the student to discriminate and provide examples of components and composites.  Further, strategies on tracking and organizing curriculum flow are provided with templates on how to create their own scope and sequence system.  Students seeking to obtain BACB CEUs will be required to complete a scope/sequence of a particularly difficult composite skill.  Upon completion of the webclass, students will be able to describe and discriminate between tool skills, component skills, and composite skills; freely list tool skills, component skills, and composite skills; and be able to fill out a scope and sequence table and map.
