Writing Exercise
Kerri Milyko, Ph.D. BCBA
I had fun today with one of our writing students at Precision Teaching Learning Center in Tampa! He had to write instructions of how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I then followed up with the bread, peanut butter, and jelly and put his words into action. It is amazing the type of "sandwiches" you can make when the instructions are missing steps and details. Have fun with your student and see if he/she can write detailed instructions on how to do a simple task he/she does every day. You both will laugh at the result when there is a step missing and you end up with a sandwhich with no filling. Enjoy!
